Rough Poetry - Infallible Man

I have decided to create a new genre (at least i think its new?) called "rough poetry". Rough poetry is usually raw, quickly put together, and can only be put under this classification so long as the poet/Spoken word artist feels insecure about his work. The artist in me will never like what I do. That being said I'd simply be a fool if I never put my work out there. I gotta let it get slammed, critisized, or go unnoticed for me to confront my fear. Hopefully that process will help me perfect my art. I feel like im babbling now, and not sure if this has made any sense... anyways... PEACE AND LOVE!!

heres the LYRICS

Politicians speak through the great inventions of man
Television icons, reveal to us their parliamentary plans
To revolutionize the world, to create a new “infallible man”

Some say they are the great minds of society
Some say they are the great alternative; piety
But are they scholars and authors that educate?
Or instead desire our lips to regurgitate
Their idea of brilliance, their idea of resilience
Reforming the repetitive words of their deceivers
Reforming our sedative minds to complete obedience
Demanding we obey and do not self educate
Pretending history is a mystery, something that can’t be
Learned from, discerned from, turned from
Is it history that we emulate?
Truth that we perpetrate
Reality that we manipulate
Imagination that we amalgamate

As the world slips into decent on these dark days
We repent and lament all our dark ways
But some say we must take
Matters to our own hands
Be masters of our own plans
Forgetting words that spoke of
some of thee greatest commands
Instead of refine from the verse
We redefine the words
Begin spewing political war fodder
To match the confusing illusions of our forefathers
Before we know we are waging war on the basis of old
Justifying genocide, or our right to overthrow
No longer do we demand that standard of thee man
Who should be inspiring us to re-shape this land
Ignoring the passion and fire behind his plan
Only so we can make our own self-determined individual stand

But here I am, confessions of a man who is trying to understand

That there is no new infallible man,
Yet no question if we can
Amount to the greatness at hand
That and its ability to stand
Because there is an infallible man that is in me
That can save me, raise me, and train me
To be an agent changing, saving this world of pain.
A supernatural advocate of love and critic of hate

Sure to put the pretentious political powers to shame
I wait for an internal revolution not of self, but of someone else
In me greater then I am, and I tell you it is He,
Thee – “infallible man”.
